The last local wrestling tournament in this area will be hosted by Bear River High School this upcoming Saturday, May 9th.  After this date, Mad Dawg will have to travel out of town for wrestling competition.  Let’s try and make it……

We had 30 athletes compete at the wrestling tournament hosted by Casa Robles High School on Saturday, May 2nd.  The team earned 9 medals. Total medal count included:  6 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.

Special Announcement:   If you utilize the small parking lot adjacent to the gym, please use designated parking spaces only.  If there are no parking spaces available in this area, please park out in the general parking area.  Do not park in unmarked parking spaces.

We have tons of Mad Dawg wrestling gear for sale.  You can purchase:  extra club shirts, sweat shirts, club shorts, club uniforms, hats and beanies.  Get the whole family decked out with our florescent yellow apparel.  Put on our gear and you are guaranteed to be spotted in a crowd.  Get your hats or beanies for $15.  See the team moms to make a purchase.

5/9/09:  Bear River High School Wrestling Tournament
5/16/09:  Modesto JC (SJWA) or College Park (MDWA)—tentative
5/21/09:  Practice Cancelled-Dinner at Dos Coyotes—tentative
6/6-8/09:  Kids-Cadet State Tournament in Fresno

You must have a USA Wrestling Card in order to compete.  Once you have a card, it is good for the entire season.  You can sign up for a card on Tuesday or Thursday.  Pick up your card on either Thursday evening after practice or from Coach Fidel at the Saturday morning tournament.  Do not lose your USA card.  You will be required to present your card when you register to wrestle on Saturday mornings.  Please do not request a card if you are not planning to compete.
