Western Regionals

Connor Pollock continued his successful offseason through our Mad Dawg Wrestling Club this past week at the Western Regionals in Pocatello, Idaho. He went three different styles and earned a medal in each one. He ended up 3rd in Folkstyle, 4th in Greco Roman, and 5th in Freestyle. Pollock is Folsom High's first wrestler to place in all three styles at this event.

Freestyle State

Congratulations to Connor Pollock and Curtis Booth who both placed at the Freestyle State Championships in Fresno. Pollock placed 4th in the Cadet Division and Booth was 7th in the Novice category. By medalling at state, both have qualified for the West Regionals in Pocatello, Idaho later on this month.

Mad Dawg continues....

Our Mad Dawg program will continue over the summer and will still be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $40 for our continuing program and is geared towards our middle school and high school wrestlers, but all are welcome.

ALL AMERICAN!!!

Sr. Nationals

Jordan Hart made history as he became Folsom's first ever All American at the Senior Nationals in Virginia Beach.  Hart went 6-2 to place 5th in the country and get on the podium at the biggest stage for a high school wrestler. Along the way, Hart beat multiple state placers and state champions to earn his All American status and avenged his quarterfinal loss by beating the same wrestler in his last high school match to capture 5th place.

Post Season Review:

For the third straight year, Folsom won the Delta River League tournament and came home with a banner. Folsom won the team title amassing 209 pts.  We had 7 DRL Champions and 13 wrestlers qualify to the DI North tourney.  At DI North, 9 advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Masters, with four finalists and two champions in Jake Whatley and Jordan Hart.  Our three senior captains all finished in the top 3 at the S.J. Masters meet as Adam Lymath was 3rd, Jake Whatley 2nd, and Jordan Hart won the title. They all qualified for the state meet, and Hart then went on to finish 5th in the state, giving Folsom it's 3rd state placer in the last four years.  He will now get a chance to compete at the Senior Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA to finish his high school career as an all-american.
